Jet Age
• A strange muffled headache under a boiling grey sky.
• A two legged dog (his front legs replaced by little wheels) squeaks slowly across an almost empty parking lot.
• A man sits weeping in his car.
• Far below the sewer grate a large trilobite-like creature thrashes in dark, oily liquid.
• High above the clouds, people on a plane are folding up their newspapers, getting ready for lunch. The cabin soon fills with the odor of unwashed foreskins.
• “You call this food?,” somebody remarks. Most of the passengers eat it anyway, shoveling it into their mouths with clear plastic forks.
• The silence afterward is awkward.
